Ideas for When I Acheive Ultimate Power, or, a few Questions

If you feel like it, please post the following below:
1. If you could have any single, limited supernatural power, what would it be? Optionally, why? [By limited I mean no "I would be a god".]
2. If you could curse someone in any way, what would you do? This could be a specific person whom you really want to hurt, or just your preferred method of harming your enemies.
3. [Suggested by sablemoonsilk] How practical is your power in the present-day world?
4. [Suggested by chalavienne] What would you use the power for? And if you did have the power to curse your enemies thusly, would you?
5. What other question would fit on this list?
Feel free to post this on your own journals--and see my answers--add to it, subtract from it, etc.
I may use one of your ideas to break out of my current state of writer's block, but if so I will ask your permission in advance.

1. I would want to be able to influence people's subconscious evaluations of things - make them see things as more trustworthy, or more dangerous, or something they can ignore.
2. I would silence them. By that I mean take away their ability for language - no speaking, no reading/writing, maybe even not understanding what's said to them. Their thought process would not necessarily be affected, nor their vocal cords.
3. How practical is your superpower in the present-day world? How often would you be able to use it without being caught? (You can only shoot hyperlasers out of your eyes once before people know that you're that girl who shoots hyperlasers out of her eyes.)

1. Definitely falls under what I was considering limited power. Also, very cool choice.
2. Do you mean language, or communication overall? Can they mime things?

It would be the equivalent of being dropped into a foreign country. You can point at things, and jump around, but be unable to retain/associate key words or phrases that people tend to pick up on quickly, to form a pidgin, or develop a unified sign language that expresses concepts.

1. The ability to do fly. Because that would be friggin awesome.
2. I would force them to always tell the truth and to openly display all emotions they feel.

1. I wouldn't have expected you to want to fly, but yeah, it's a cool idea.
2. Limited--if you had to choose the truth or emotions curse, which would you pick?

1. Telekinesis. Hands-down. I considered being able to fly, but it occurred to me that if I could move a significantly large thing maybe I could stand on it while it was moving, do you think? Limited enough?
2. I think the best kind of curse would be the ability to make other people see themselves as I see them. That way the punishment is directly proportional to how much they tick me off.
3. Telekinesis is incredibly practical. Carrying a load of things at once, reaching things on high shelves, reaching things when you're just plain lazy... not to mention those times you get caught hanging upside-down in a snow monster's cave and your lightsaber is stuck in the ground.
4. I started answering that under #3. As for the curse, I could think of a couple political factions that might benefit from knowing what idiots they come off as. Don't know if it would work over long distances, though. I hadn't thought that far ahead.

2. Oooohhh...mirror-curse. Limited in that it can backfire. Also very cool.
3. Yes. But were you planning on getting stuck in a snow monster's cave any time soon? Is there something you're not telling me?
4. To be limited, it would have to be one person at a time and not long-distance. But it would still be fun to see people realize how much of an idiot they are.
